Not much is known about Gill aside from his work, and that his paintings were mostly either framed or retailed through a San Francisco shop called Parmelee. However, they remain some of the most sought after and enduring Hawaiian vintage imagery created during the “Golden era” of travel to the Islands. Gill's air brush art reflects a time during which several artists began employing a method of air brushed stenciling. Through layering, complex textures were achieved. Gill’s work is regarded today as the most recognizable of the period. #26959 KXX
