1950s Chalk & Acrylic Hula Dancer Tables - Set of 3 These classically exotic hula dancer tables, made circa 1953, are a charming touch of Old Hawaii that will complete any tiki room. Made of chalk and acrylic, the tables are from the personal Blackburn collection and featured in Don R. Severson's "Finding Paradise: Island art in private collections" book and Mark Blackburn's book, "Hawaiiana: The Best of Hawaiian Design." Small tables: 17" L x 21" H x 14" W Large table: 39" L x 19" H x 18" W Materials: Chalk sculptures with wood base and clear acrylic tabletops held on by brass knobs. Condition: Slight blemish in arm of one hula boy (smaller table) and hairline in paint on the arm of the other. About the tables: "A striking three-piece set, consisting of two end tables and a coffee table, uses the figures of Hawaiian men and women as support for its surfaces. Most likely manufactured in California in the 1950s, these must have been expensive pieces when new." - Don Severson, "Finding Paradise," p. 302. **If you are interested in this item, PLEASE CONTACT US at 808-227-2931 or for more information and accurate shipping rates to your location.
