Alfred Gurrey ( 1851-1943) owned an art shop in Honolulu with his wife and fellow photographer Caroline Haskins. Gurrey, an avid surfer himself, is perhaps best known for the collection of surf photography in his book, “The Surf Riders of Hawaii.” He also produced a number of beautiful landscapes and island vistas.
